Health in a New Key Partnership Grants

Together we can improve the health of our communities! SLHI is in search of community partnerships that:

  • Connect people
  • Define issues that will build healthy communities
  • Develop innovative solutions for lasting change
  • Foster individual and community assets
  • Recognize opportunities and take action

If these qualities describe you and your community partners, we would like to talk with you about applying for an SLHI Health in a New Key Partnership Grant.

How to Get Started

Application begins with conversation. Before preparing anything, contact us. Together we’ll determine if there is a potential fit between your interests and SLHI's priorities for community partnerships.

We’ve learned that our best investments are collaborative efforts that may entail multiple meetings and/or discussions about the proposed plan prior to the submission of an actual proposal. If we find that there is a mutual fit, a formal proposal is submitted for consideration by the SLHI Board of Trustees. You’ll have some flexibility because there are no specific deadlines or grant cycles, as the Board considers proposals at regularly scheduled meetings (generally, monthly) over the course of the year.

Remember – talk to us first! The SLHI Board of Trustees will consider only those proposals from organizations that have had prior discussions with program staff.
