The majority of uninsured have a household member who is employed at least part time (82.4%).
Regardless of employment status, approximately one-third of the uninsured live in poverty, e.g., have household incomes below the federal poverty level. Another one-third of the uninsured are near poverty, and the remaining one-third have household incomes at least double the poverty level.
